NEXGEN is a youth and family hub from UMMA Foundation. Opening September 5, 2026. Built for how Muslim families live. Muslim-rooted — and it is not an Islamic class and does not pretend to be one.

The problem
What we kept hearing.
Across two years of conversations with families on Staten Island, one description came up more than any other. It is not one child, and the boy in it is not a real boy.

At home, he’s a good kid.
He prays. He respects his parents. He tries to follow what he’s taught.

But outside, everything clashes.
His friends talk and act in ways that don’t match what he’s taught at home. Teachers, leaders, even YouTubers say things that go against his parents’ beliefs.

He starts to wonder.
“Is what we believe outdated? Do my parents get how the world works now?” No one in his life seems to get both sides.

He’s not trying to rebel.
He’s just feeling alone, stuck between staying silent or losing himself. No space to ask real questions.

The scariest part?
Adam thinks he’s going through this alone. He’s not. NEXGEN exists because too many of our kids feel the way Adam feels.

The worry we hear most from parents: composed from many conversations, not one person’s words
We’ve heard versions of this from dozens of families. The pain is the gap between the two halves of a kid’s life. There is no third space where both fit. NEXGEN is the answer to that gap.

NEXGEN is one of UMMA Foundation’s brands, with UMMA Relief, UMMA Farm, UMMA Studio, Yala and Hope Bus. We are built around what kids need. About 4,000 sqft at 6 Arc Place, Staten Island. Opening September 5, 2026. This is what scaled, modern, Muslim-rooted youth development looks like.

We’re not building one space, we’re building the model. NEXGEN starts on Staten Island. The goal is a third space near every Muslim family that wants one.
